After posting several back dated entries, and updating my blog description, I realized that I am feeling a little defensive about this. I have many friends who are Christan, and many who are of other faiths and practices. Someone said to me today; "I can't imagine how uncomfortable it must be for you, and the rest, to deal with the public perception...". It is not "the public" that I am uncomfortable with. The Public does not know my faith. I am much more uncomfortable sharing this with my friends. Some of my experiences may be seen as unconventional, or even unbelievable. But I am doing it anyway, in hopes that I may gain some insight from my loving and caring friends.
That's all I've got for now. I'm going to bed.
I've always told Ray..."Do you know what a powerhouse for God that man (Arin) would be if he were a Christian? He's got the personality and fortitude to do unbelievable things for God...if he ever decides to make Christianity his faith, and Jesus his savior...and then to share that with the rest of the world...he's going to make an unbelievable impact...and the woman that God has allowed him to be with...she's just as much a powerhouse in her own right...if they were ever called to work for God's Kingdom...Wow!! God could use them to move mountains!"
ReplyDeleteAs to some of your ponderings and questions - As much as I'd like to "convince" you that Christ is indeed God's son...and that He died for the entire world's sins, including yours...and that He is "the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no man comes to the Father, except by Him," - I can't!
First of all, that's not my "job," it's the Holy Spirit's job! Second...I can't convince anyone of anything! I mean, after all...you are an, um...strong-willed individual, shall we say? :-)(I love you!!!)
I can tell you that as you search for and seek God...keep your eyes and ears open for God to find YOU!! (If He hasn't already.) I can tell you that I truly believe that God is who He claims to be...and the Jesus is God's son...and that They are calling you...and waiting for you...and wanting you...and loving you more than anyone ever has!
See, to me, that's the ONE thing that makes Christianity different from other religions! In Christianity, God came looking for us! God sent a savior for us! In other religions, their god doesn't come for anyone... instead, the people in those religions have to find a way to work their way to (be good enough for) him...
Keep an open heart and listen - not just to man, but to God...listen to His very clear, yet quiet voice...for as Elijah said, God isn't in the whirlwind and the fire and the earthquake...rather, He speaks in a still, small voice.
You are my friend...and I mean that...You are MY friend...Not just Ray's friend...and I do love you and Celeste...and I want very much for you to find God and to find Christ, and to find salvation in Jesus' sacrifice for our sins...I want you both to find the love of God in Christ Jesus...but, whatever you decide...I will still love you and you will still be my friend...I just pray that God speaks so clearly and plainly and lovingly to you that you have no other choice but to follow Him. :-)
I'm looking forward to eternity with my family and friends...and I want you there!!
