"I think we are dead..."

"I think we are dead, and are already in Hell." a friend of mine's Facebook post read. I really wanted to tell her how close to the truth she actually was.
We sleep. We sleep the sleep that is spiritual death. We sleepwalk, as the walking dead through this Hell that is disconnect from the Holy Spirit. From God. From ourselves as Holy (and wholly) spiritual beings. So yes, in a way we are dead. We are in Hell.
Until we wake up. Until we find that thing that kindles the spark of the Divine in ourselves, until we find it and nurture it into a blazing fire that consumes our entire beingness, we run the risk of that spark becoming an ember, and that ember becoming ash. That is, we have an opportunity to reconnect with God. With the Divine. With the Holy Spirit. With the Source of all that is. The door is there, but we have to open it. We have to walk through it. We have to begin the journey. All of the churches, and wise men of the world cannot do it for us. It MUST begin with OUR realization that there is more to life than this world. Once we have had that realization, once we make that decision, we can begin to wake up from our slumber.

  1. Hell is living outside God's love- to stand in the rain at the door to warmth and succor and know you are not allowed in. To be whom God made you to be- to be yourself and do as you have been made to do- that is the way out of hell to spiritual elevation. There is a connection that is that simple this is often overlooked.
